Becoming Calm 7th January – 11th February 2026
Six Wednesday evening classes: yoga, breathwork and lecture
18:30–20:00 UK time. Via Zoom & Recorded
Join me for six 90-minute classes that explore what it means to become calm, not as a personality trait, not as something you either have or don’t, but as a learnable, physiological process. Calm is not passive; it is something we build. We breathe toward it, we move toward it, and we practise returning to it.
Each class begins with a short talk exploring how anxiety, overwhelm, vigilance, and old protective responses take hold in the body. When we understand the mechanisms, we can interrupt them. Yoga and breathwork will be tools for shifting your internal state: lengthening the breath, easing muscular contractions, softening the mind’s catastrophising, and bringing the system back into coherence.
Becoming calm means learning to meet yourself differently. It means cultivating a state that feels steady and clear, even when life is not. It means recognising that you have influence over your internal weather.
You do not need experience, flexibility, or a calm mind to begin. You simply arrive, as you are, and let the work unfold.
Classes are live on Zoom, recorded for Vimeo catch-up, and available for four weeks after the series ends. You may join at any point and will receive all missed recordings.
The Wednesday evening community is full of warmth, curiosity, and humour: a group of people committed to learning how to soothe their systems and live with more ease.
Come and discover what Becoming Calm can feel like in your own body.
